Travel Grants

The ICR6 will provide travel expenses support to some undergraduate, master and Ph.D. students, early career researchers* or individuals working or studying in low or lower-middle income countries**.
The application form is included in the abstract submission process.

* Early Career Researcher (ECR) : The definition of ECR is a researcher who is within 7 years of the latest degree, not necessarily a Ph.D.
** Low and lower-middle income countries : These countries are defined by the World Bank.

Travel Grant Eligibility

  • Those who make a presentation (oral or poster) at the Conference.
  • Undergraduate, master and Ph.D. students must submit a letter of endorsement by the student’s advisor and a certificate of your enrollment from your university or graduate school.
  • ECR applicants must submit a certification document file to prove that you are eligible applicants. The following information should be clearly visible in the file : ① Applicant’s full name, ② Degree type, ③ Full name of the degree-awarding institution, and ④ Date of degree acquisition.

Travel Grants Application Procedure

The following describes the process for requesting our travel grant on the “Travel Expenses Support” page of the abstract submission form.

  1. Check the “Apply for travel expenses support” box on the “Travel Expenses Support” page.
  2. Check the appropriate “Applicant type” box.
  3. Applicants who need to submit files (undergraduate, master, Ph.D. students and ECR applicants) should upload them as described in the “Documentation” section of the same page.
  4. Next, in the “Apply for assistance with” section, select either or both of the “Airfare/Daily allowance” checkboxes.
  5. Click on the green confirmation button at the bottom of the page to proceed to the “Confirmation” page. On that page, you will see a “Submit” button at the bottom of that screen. By clicking this button, you will be able to complete your application for travel grants and abstract submission at the same time.
  6. To be sure, check the completion email that will be automatically sent to you after your application (abstract submission).

Note:

  • Only complete applications will be considered.
  • A successful applicant will receive the support notification on 5 July 2024.
  • The deadline for submitting applications is 20 April 2024.
